Guido Bastianini is board member and General Manager of Sator S.p.A.. He is in charge ad interim of the Financial Reporting & Control Unit of Sator S.p.A.; he advises the private equity team in the deal structuring and execution phases.

He is board member of Banca Profilo S.p.A., Arepo BP S.p.A., Sator Immobiliare SGR S.p.A., Sator Capital Limited, Sator Public Equity Value Fund Limited, Sator Public Equity Value Master Fund Limited.

Formerly, from October 2007 to March 2008, he worked at UniCredit, managing the structure Financial Reporting ex Capitalia, focused on the integration between UniCredit and Capitalia. Mr. Bastianini worked (July 2002 until September 2007) at Capitalia, as Deputy General Manager and Manager Responsible for the preparation of Financial Reports. Between 2003 and September 2007, he served as Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for Financial Reporting, Accounting, Supervisory Notifications, Tax Planning and Budget and Control.
He was also directly involved (2004-2005) in the introduction of the new International Accounting Standard methods during the IAS/IFRS first time adoption process.

From July 2002 to 2003, Mr. Bastianini was Head of the Strategic Planning Unit and, during the first months of 2003, also Head of the Budget and Control Unit. Prior to this, from 1992 to 2002, he was Head of Strategic Planning of the Banca di Roma Group, working on the privatisation of the bank in 1997, the public tender of Sanpaolo IMI in 1999, the acquisitions of Mediocredito Centrale in 1999 and Bipop-Carire in 2002 and their related strategic and financial assessment process and business plans.
Between 1988 and 1992, he worked at Banco di Santo Spirito in the Research and Planning department as Head of Strategic Planning and, from 1983 to 1988, Mr. Bastianini worked at Banca Nazionale Agricoltura as a strategic planning and research analyst.

From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Bastianini was member of ABI’s Technical Committee on Planning and Control and, since 2003, also a member of ABI’s Technical Tax Committee. He is a founding partner of the Italian Association for Planning and Control in Banks.

Guido Bastianini was member of Capitalia’s Management Committee, of the Boards of Directors of Banco di Sicilia (Deputy Chairman), Bipop-Carire (Deputy Chairman), Capitalia Solutions, Capitalia Partecipazioni and the Interbanking Fund for the Safeguard of Deposits.

He received a BA cum laude in Economics from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome and a Ph.D. cum laude in Banking and Finance from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.

Mr. Bastianini has published volumes and articles in banking and finance journals.
