Giacomo Garbuglia is Senior Manager of the Private Equity team and member of the Private Equity Investment Committee.
He is board member of Banca Profilo S.p.A., Arepo BP S.p.A., Sator GP Limited, Sator Partners LLP and Sator Investments S.r.l.

Formerly, he was Head of the Large Corporate Division of the Capitalia Group, where he was responsible for the Group’s corporate and investment banking activities with regards to the top 160 prime Italian corporate groups, in charge of a €13 billion credit and investment portfolio.

From 2002 to 2005, Giacomo Garbuglia was Central Manager at Mediocredito Centrale, the Capitalia Group’s investment banking arm, in charge of the business development of investment banking activities (M&A, capital markets and structured finance). In these positions, he was directly involved in most of the major Italian transactions executed in the last few years. Giacomo Garbuglia has been also a member of the Boards of Directors of Capitalia Merchant and Capitalia-Sofipa, the Group’s merchant banking and private equity subsidiaries.

Prior to this, from 1999 until 2002, he served as Director of Lehman Brothers’ Financial Institutions Group for the Italian market.
Giacomo Garbuglia began his career in 1994 at KPMG Corporate Finance in Milan, later becoming responsible for the Banking and Insurance M&A Department in 1997.

He received a BA cum laude in Business Administration from the University of Ancona.
